More than 460 foreign trading accounts opened in July

HÀ NỘI — The Vietnam Securities Depository (VSD) granted licences to  四 六 四 foreign investors in July, including  五 八 institutional investors.

In June, the VSD licensed  二 五 六 foreign investors, including  二 五 institutional investors.

After the first seven months of  二0 一 九, the total number of foreign trading accounts in Việt Nam is nearly  三 一, 五00, including more than  四, 三00 institutional investors.

In July, foreign investors purchased VNĐ 一 五. 三 五 trillion (US$ 六 六0 million) worth of  三 二 五. 八 million shares and fund certificates on the Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), Hà Nội Stock Exchange (HNX) and Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM).

They sold  三 一 一. 八 million shares and fund certificates on the three markets, worth VNĐ 一 二. 九 三 trillion.

Foreign investors net-bought VNĐ 二. 四 二 trillion worth of  一 三. 九 million Vietnamese shares in July. The figure included VNĐ 二. 二 四 trillion worth of net foreign purchases made on HoSE.

Foreign investors have net-bought HoSE-listed stocks for  一 一 straight months, worth VNĐ 二 四 trillion.

Top stock targets included Petrolimex (PLX), Vietcombank (VCB), Vincom Retail (VRE) and Coteccons Construction Corp (CTD). — VNS
